Parish Hilton Loves her
men |
While she was busy
kissing a female friend
at the clubs in Vegas a
few days ago, Paris
Hilton had her eyes set
on the guys in West
Hollywood on Saturday
night.
The hotel heiress
started off the evening
with dinner at Mr Chow
with sister Nicky, then
heading for a little
late night action at the
popular nightspot Villa
Lounge.
After mingling about for
awhile, the former
Simple Life star made a
break for the exit,
taking two mystery men
along with her.
Looking a little worse
for wear after their
night of partying, Paris
and her men-of-the-night
were last spotted
checking into The
Beverly Hilton Hotel in
the early hours of the
morning.
Looks like Paris brought
her Vegas ways back
home! |

Paris Hilton and
Brussels incur grapes of
wrath |
The winemakers of
northern Italy are
fighting to defend what
they claim is their
heritage against an
unlikely twin threat —
from Hungary and the
American heiress Paris
Hilton.
The battle with Budapest
stems from a European
Union decision allowing
Hungary but not Italy to
use the term “Tokai”,
“Tocai” or “Tokaj”,
although wine producers
in Friuli-Venezia Giulia
have been using it for
centuries.
The tussle with Paris
Hilton, meanwhile, is
over a drink called Rich
Prosecco and its
advertising campaign
featuring the heiress
wearing nothing but a
coating of gold paint,
in imitation of the
actress Shirley Eaton in
the James Bond film
Goldfinger.
On the whole Italians do
not object to seeing Ms
Hilton in the nude. What
has caused anger is that
she has not only used
the name “prosecco”,
which Italians regard as
their copyright, but
also — sacrilegiously —
put the drink in a can
and mixed it with fruit
juice.
The defence offered by
Ms Hilton’s publicity
machine is that Rich
Prosecco is not being
marketed in Italy. It
was launched last year
at a typically
extravagant “mega-party”
in the Austrian Alps. Ms
Hilton, who emerged from
a helicopter in a
glittering dress,
declared the drink to be
“yummy”.
Günther Aloys, the
businessman who created
Rich Prosecco, said that
she was “pleasant and
uncomplicated. Nobody
embodies carefree lust
for life as convincingly
and glamorously as Paris
Hilton.”
However, in Treviso, one
of the centres of
Italian prosecco
production, winemakers
are not amused. Fulvio
Brunetta, head of the
Treviso branch of
Coldiretti, the farmers’
union, said that Ms
Hilton’s drink was an
insult. He said Italian
producers would meet
this month to consider
their response, “up to
and including legal
action”. Mr Brunetta
said that he had nothing
against Ms Hilton. “But
she is . . . creating a
generation of consumers
who will forever
associate the name of
prosecco with something
similar to an alcoholic
fruit drink.”
He was supported by
winemakers in
neighbouring Friuli, who
are taking a similar
stand over a ruling by
the European Court of
Justice that they must
use the name Friuliano
for a wine now known as
Tocai.
Hungarians say that only
wine made in the Tokaj
region of Hungary, where
wine has been produced
for 1,000 years, has a
legitimate claim to the
name. The Friuli-Venezia
Giulia branch of
Federdoc, the
association of wine
producers, wanted to
call their wine Tocai
Friuliano. “It would
almost be comical if it
were not so serious,”
the association said.
“Chambers of commerce
that have to register
Friuli wine for 2008
cannot because they
don’t know what to call
it.”
Hungary was given
exclusive rights to the
Tokai, Tokaj or Tocai
label after its
accession to the EU in
2004.
Liquid assets
8 million bottles of
Tocai are produced in
Italy each year 30% of
these are exported
1 million cans of Rich
Prosecco are said to
have been sold in the
first four months of
sales |

I'm no fan of hers,
either - Jaime |
PARIS Hilton turned her
heal on a deal to spruik
her shoe label last year
but Jaime Wright is
hoping she will be a
shoe-in when she moves
to the US this year.
The Bondi Blonde babe
plans to head off for
six months in June.
"I want to get into one
big store like Sacks or
Bloomingdale," she said.
"I've already had a few
yes's from boutiques."
Wright will head over to
La La land next month to
check out her soon-to-be
'hood and fulfil
commitments to fashion
week there before
returning to Sydney for
a few months to pack up
her things.
The red carpet regular
is also on the lookout
for presenting roles and
an acting gig if the
right one comes along.
"I don't claim to be a
major actress," she
said. "I'd like to play
an evil vampire . . . or
a Scary Movie Sophie
Monk-type role."
The 26-year-old returned
to Adelaide on the
weekend, where she
managed to attend her
second cousin's 21st and
her 10-year high school
reunion on Saturday
night.
Getting to know Hilton
and Bra Boy Koby
Abberton at the launch
of John Singleton's beer
at Bondi Icebergs' last
New Year's Day has given
her plenty of kudos
among her old school
chums.
She was voted "most
successful" by her mates
from Murray Bridge High
School.
Wright also hosed down
rumours American Pie
actress Tara Reid would
be the face of her
label.
"I had my picture taken
with her . . . (but) I'm
not a fan," she said.
"I never really wanted
anyone to be the face."
Strange, given what her
publicist in December,
after Jaime and Tara
caught up for cocktails:
"Tara was very open to
it and we are planning a
meeting with her on
Wednesday before she
leaves Australia." |

Paris Hilton's FOURTH
Night Of Partying |
Paris Hilton has been
celebrating the New Year
in idiosyncratic style -
going out partying for a
fourth night in a row.
After seeing in 2008 in
Las Vegas, the heiress
has now relocated to Los
Angeles, but that hasn’t
slowed down her love of
the fast life one bit.
She was snapped partying
away into the early
hours, swigging
champagne and, amongst
other things, doing a
bit of pole dancing and
kissing a girl.
All in a night’s work
for our Paris! |

Paris Hilton Sends Love
to Britney Spears |
Paris Hilton has sent
her love and best wishes
to her hospitalized pal
Britney Spears. Hilton,
who faced her own
troubles including jail
time last year, says she
is “hoping (Britney)
will get better, get
some help, and do better
in 2008.”
Meanwhile, Spears is
under a 5150 hold for
mental evaluation. A
5150 hold means doctors
are entitled to hold
Spears for 72 hours as
they fear she is a
danger to herself and
others.
Spears was rushed to the
hospital last night
after a custody stand
off with her ex-husband
Kevin Federline. The
troubled singer had
visited her sons
earlier, but when it was
time to hand them over
to Federline she
refused. A court ordered
monitor called 911 when
Spears locked herself in
a room with her younger
son, Jayden James.
Meanwhile, Federline and
his lawyer appeared in
court today to request
that Spears be stripped
of her visitation
rights. |

What's a Scandal-Ridden
Celeb to Do? Go to
Church |
(Paris Hilton and Mischa
Barton were photographed
embracing religion after
their DUI arrests. )
The hottest place for
starlets to go after a
scandal isn't at all
exclusive, has satellite
locations all over the
country, and is most
bumping on Sunday
mornings — church.
Mischa Barton is the
latest young star to pay
a visit to God's house
following public fallout
from bad publicity. One
week after she was
busted for DUI and drug
possession (two days
after Christmas, no
less) the former "O.C."
actress was snapped
walking down the steps
of Beverly Hills' Good
Shepherd Catholic
Church, head bowed,
virginal white dress
flowing, church brochure
in hand.
Paris Hilton toted the
Bible around after her
stint in jail on DUI
charges. "High School
Musical" star Vanessa
Hudgens went to church
after nude photographs
of her stormed the
Internet.
Looking at these
scandal-ridden stars
trying to make good in
the eyes of God and the
public, you'd think Mary
Magdalene could've
remade herself into the
Virgin Mary if only
she'd had the right
publicist. Things
haven't changed much
since the olden days:
Latching onto religion
is one of the most
effective ways for
celebrities to show the
world they're cleaning
up their act.
"The surest, safest way
to try to get out of a
scandal is to pull out a
Bible and invoke the
name of God," said
Michael Musto, gossip
columnist for the
Village Voice. "In the
world of celebrity spin
control, this is
supposed to instantly
confer sanctity and good
intentions on you while
dissolving all past
heathenism.
"Surely there are some
serious worshipers in La
La Land, but in the case
of Paris, her devoutness
came under question on
Larry King's show when
she couldn't name a
single passage she
liked. Not even 'the
part with the snake and
the apple.'" he added,
referring to Hilton's
post-prison interview in
which she pledged she
had found a purpose in
life beyond partying.
If paparazzi photos are
to be believed, Barton,
like Hilton, is more
likely to frequent a
strip of sand or a red
carpet premiere than a
house of faith. The
angelic picture of her
descending from the
church may have been
more contrived than
candid. |

Federline and Hilton
party in Las Vegas |
Reality television star
Paris Hilton and rapper
Kevin Federline have
reportedly been spotted
partying together in Las
Vegas.
The pair were in Las
Vegas to host separate
New Year's Eve parties
and ended up meeting up
two nights during their
stay there.
According to People
magazine, Hilton and
Federline were both at
LAX on Saturday and met
up again in Pure
Nightclub on Sunday
night. |

Kevin Federline Turns
Down Paris Hilton |
Kevin Federline
reportedly turned down
Paris Hilton’s advances
when they partied
together over the
holiday period.
The pair were snapped
enjoying each other’s
company during a bash at
Pure nightclub in Las
Vegas on December 30.
However, according to
insiders, Brit’s playboy
ex-husband gave the
heiress the big
brush-off when she made
her move on him.
“Paris whispered some
pretty sweet and
enticing words in
Kevin's ear,” a
Federline family insider
tells PageSix.
“She basically asked him
where he was staying and
if he wanted to visit
her in her own suite.”
According to their
source, the Fedster
passed on the offer but
admitted, “It will not
be so easy to deny her
next time.” |

Paris Hilton Reaches Out
To Britney Spears |
Though she may not be
the most likely person
to help Britney Spears
pull herself out of the
current funk she finds
herself in, Paris Hilton
has reportedly sent her
best wishes to the
troubled singer.
The “Simple Life”
starlet was spotted out
at Teddy’s bar in
Hollywood, California
last night, and upon her
exit, she had a message
for the “Gimme More”
singer.
Paris said she was
“hoping (Britney) will
get better, get some
help, and do better in
2008.” She then flashed
her trademark
“Zoolander” face and hit
the road.
However, given the
earlier Gossip Girls
report of Hilton’s own
late night antics, and
the fact that she was
spotted bumping and
grinding on Spears’ ex
husband Kevin Federline,
it may be unlikely that
Brit will take Paris’
words to heart. |

Party Night For Paris
Hilton |
Remember when Paris
Hilton was released from
jail this past summer,
and she vowed never to
get back into the party
scene that had landed
her behind bars? She
doesn’t.
The platinum princess
(referring to her hair,
not her record sales)
was spotted at LAX
nightclub in Las Vegas
this past Wednesday and
from the looks of it,
she’s regressed a bit in
terms of her behavior.
According to clubgoers,
Hilton was quite keen to
climb up onto tables,
the bar, etc, and dance
her little heart out.
She reportedly had
plenty to drink, to the
point that she kissed a
girl and got money
thrown at her as she did
a table dance.
Well, at least she
looked good doing it.
Paris wore a black
cocktail dress and a big
smile as she partied the
night away. Let’s just
hope she had a driver! |

PHilton to donate bulk
of fortune to foundation |
Barron Hilton, son of
the international hotel
chain's founder, said
Wednesday that he will
donate nearly all of his
fortune to his family's
philanthropic foundation
that supports housing
for the homeless, safe
water in developing
countries and other
causes worldwide.
Barron Hilton, 80, plans
to donate to the Conrad
N. Hilton Foundation a
total of nearly $2.3
billion at his death,
including $1.2 billion
in proceeds from two
recent corporate deals
and 97% of his other
$1.1 billion in assets.
Hilton said in a
statement that his
father, Conrad, left 97%
of his wealth to the
foundation, "and I am
proud to follow my
father's example."
He couldn't be reached
for further comment. But
his publicist, Patrick
Barry, said Barron
Hilton will distribute
to his heirs the
remaining 3% of his
personal estate. Hilton
has eight children and
numerous grandchildren,
including granddaughter
Paris Hilton, 26, a
tabloid celebrity known
for provocative photos,
a reality TV show and a
jail stint this year
stemming from driving
violations.
Barron Hilton's
philanthropic gifts were
announced as part of his
estate planning, Barry
said. The contributions
will include $900
million in proceeds from
the November sale of
Beverly Hills,
Calif.-based Hilton
Hotels to The Blackstone
Group and $300 million
of stock he holds in
Harrah's Entertainment,
whose sale to private
equity investors is
pending. The proceeds
are being placed in a
trust and will be
donated when Hilton
dies.
Stacy Palmer, editor of
The Chronicle of
Philanthropy, noted that
Hilton's gift represents
one of the largest
philanthropic
contributions announced
this year. "It's a huge
amount of money," she
said.
Palmer said Hilton's
contribution is probably
exceeded this year by
only two other
billionaires who passed
away recently: Helen
Walton, wife of Wal-Mart
founder Sam Walton, and
New York hotel tycoon
Leona Helmsley.
Barron Hilton's
contributions will
dramatically expand the
Conrad N. Hilton
Foundation, which
currently has about $1.1
billion in assets.
Based on asset size, the
Conrad N. Hilton
Foundation is the
61st-largest U.S.
foundation, according to
the latest rankings by
the Foundation Center,
an organization that
links philanthropic
organizations and grant
seekers. But it is not
among the 100 largest
foundations ranked by
total giving, according
to the center.
Conrad Hilton bought his
first hotel in 1919 and
sought to expand his
chain globally.
He established the
foundation in 1944. The
foundation's mission
statement says it "seeks
to alleviate the
suffering of the world's
most disadvantaged, with
a special emphasis on
children and … the work
of the Roman Catholic
Sisters."
Program areas include
water and sanitation
projects in developing
countries, services for
the blind, housing for
the mentally ill
homeless, early
childhood development
and substance-abuse
prevention.

Hilton grandfather
pledges fortune to
charity |
The hotel magnate Barron
Hilton has announced
plans to donate almost
all his fortune to
charity, slashing at a
stroke his granddaughter
Paris Hilton's
inheritance, not to
mention her potential
eligibility.
The elder Hilton, 80,
said he would give 97%
of his $2.3bn (£1.15bn)
estate to the Conrad N.
Hilton Foundation, a
charity founded by his
father.
"We are all exceedingly
proud and grateful for
this extraordinary
commitment," said the
head of the charity,
Steven Hilton, who is
Barron's son and an
uncle to Paris.

Paris Hilton flashes
Police |
After already being
arrested twice, The
Super blonde Hieress has
been arrested once more.
On the outskirts of LA
Paris apparently flashed
a by-passing fan on the
street. That fan, who is
still unconfirmed by the
press, called the
paparazzi right away,
and from there they sent
a helicopter to fly over
the Valley's Mansion.
They also sent police to
the house to watch her.
When Paris saw the
helicopter hovering
above her while she was
tanning topless on her
veranda, she stood up
and pointed to them,
shouting "go away!!"
After hovering for
half-an-hour police
moved in and arrested
the heiress for indecent
exposure.
She will attend court in
late January, and unless
bailed out will be put
back in the same Women's
Center for 2 nights.
Let's just hope we won't
have to go through that
big ordeal once more.
"I really don't see what
I did wrong. I was just
tanning at my own house,
and then all these
police showed up and I
was like what is this?"
says Hilton. "Then they
all got out their cell
phones and started
taking pictures, and I
was like WHAT?! And they
were all like WOAH!"

Paris Hilton Denies
Pregnancy to Dell: Says
Father Fictitious |
Los Angeles - We all
know socialite Paris
Hilton has been looking
for a nice boyfriend and
it now seems that she is
dismissing claims that
she is pregnant to a
fictitious character she
has named Dell saying
that she made him up.
"It's simply not true,
Dell is not the father
of my unborn child, I
got lonely on my trips
to Korea, Japan and
China and whilst on my
laptop imagined this
really nice guy, we got
a little frisky together
but never had full sex"
Paris told sources at
The Spoof.
Hollywood insiders say
"She seems to be under
some kind of spell, she
is spending long periods
chatting to bots on her
laptop and has fallen in
love with one, she calls
him Dell."
Adding to the
speculation that she is
pregnant, room staff
supervisor Mr Kookai at
the Four Seasons Hotel
in Maui where Paris
stayed over Christmas
reports that despite not
drinking any alcohol she
could be heard spewing
up in her room all
morning.
Head of Artificial
Intelligence research at
Dell Labs, Dr Zafar Shah
denies claims that Ms
Hilton could have been
inseminated by a bot in
her laptop, claiming
that the WiFi radiation
would destroy any donor
sperm sent via e-mail.
Whilst admitting that
she could have fallen in
love with a program that
was essentially her own
reflection, as for
pregnancy Dr Shah
expressed Paris has
likely just picked up a
virus or two, adding
"Its probably just a
tummy bug."
